TMS Johnson is seeking a talented accountant to join our fast-growing company in New Hope, MN. The accounting position will report directly to our Accounting Manager and be responsible for a full range of receivables and payables duties.

Requirements

  • Minimum education required — High School Diploma.
  • Minimum experience required — 3 years related accounting experience.
  • Contractor or construction accounting experience a plus.
  • Experience using computerized accounting system and basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and send invoices/credits to customers in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with sales staff regarding ongoing jobs.
  • Record and apply customer payments to accounts.
  • Process remote bank deposits and credit card transactions.
  • Communicate with customers regarding account status and payment status.
  • Verify sales tax exemption forms from customers and apply to invoices accordingly.
  • Process and verify vendor invoices, ensuring accurate coding and approval.
  • Process check runs to pay suppliers and vendors according to established procedures.
  • Work with internal and external contacts to research and resolve any invoice discrepancies.
  • Review vendor statements and resolve any past due or missing invoices.
  • Process annual 1099 tax form filing.
  • Provide backup for the reception area and phones.

    TMS Johnson is seeking an HVAC Estimator to join our fast-growing team full-time, Monday through Friday. This position will support our Sales and Operations teams and will be responsible for preparing project proposals, estimating materials and costs, and managing project progress for new construction and retrofit projects. Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented team player with excellent communication skills, a desire to expand and maintain their knowledge of HVAC products, and a knack for using multiple programs efficiently.

    Responsibilities

    • Preparing proposals for bids on new construction projects or retrofitting existing buildings
    • Reviewing bid documents and addendums
    • Creating an estimate of materials based on the scope of the job
    • Preparing cost estimates for projects using manufacturer’s software, Excel, and Salesforce
    • Communicating regularly with sales, providing project updates, and addressing concerns or issues
    • Managing incoming projects, both public and private
    • Maintaining knowledge of HVAC fundamentals and product lines, staying informed of new products, and utilizing opportunities to further educate yourself, co-workers, and customers
    • Learning to operate our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to facilitate projects, including processing orders, purchasing parts, and structuring bills of material

      TMS Johnson is currently searching for a highly motivated Warehouse Assistant to join our fast-growing team! The position will be full-time from 7am-4pm Monday-Friday at our New Hope office and will report to the Warehouse Manager.

      Responsibilities

      • Check in orders with accuracy
      • Accurately pull customer orders
      • Stock product shelves as inventory arrives
      • Load/unload product safely & efficiently
      • Coordinates ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts, in warehouse
      • Perform regularly scheduled inventory of warehouse items. Notify Manager of low stock levels
      • Maintain warehouse organization
      • Prioritize high-level of customer service

      Requirements

      • High school diploma (or equivalent) and 2 years Warehouse experience preferred
      • Ability to safely operate forklift, pallet jack and basic hand tools or ability to learn required
      • Fast paced with strong attention to detail
      • Strong communication skills, both verbal & written
      • Forklift operating license preferred
      • Lift 50lbs regularly
      • Ability to be on your feet for 8 hours a day
      • Working competence with computers including MS/Windows, MS/Excel, MS/Word is preferred
      • Self-motivator and able to multi-task
      • Reliable and on-time
